In December of 2016, a call was made to The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago regarding a Persian cat named Sinbad. The cat had been living alone in an elderly man’s basement, as the man was no longer capable of caring for him. Upon arrival, investigators were astonished to discover the extent of Sinbad’s neglect. He was trapped in his own fur, making it difficult for him to walk, and his fur weighed about five pounds due to the heavy matting and buildup of dirt and feces.
The senior citizen was interviewed by the detectives, and he eventually gave his consent to relinquish Sinbad to the animal refuge. They promptly transported Sinbad to the shelter where the professionals worked tirelessly to shear off his coat. Upon completion of the extensive grooming process, Sinbad appeared as if he were a completely different feline.
Sinbad, despite facing numerous challenges, is an endearing sweetheart who craves affection from anyone he meets. Despite experiencing a fair share of mistreatment throughout his life, Sinbad still harbors a love for people that remains unwavering.
The little cat was appreciative of every bit of love and attention shown to him as he was being freed from his tangled mess of fur.
After a long journey, Sinbad finally found a loving and compassionate man who welcomed him into his permanent home. Sinbad couldn’t be happier with his new dad and the cozy abode he now calls his own. Don’t forget to visit Sinbad’s Instagram profile to view additional snapshots of him.
